CHATHAM, NJ (June 24, 2014) – After an 8-month campaign promoting the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games, Cross River Network concluded its role as a Promotional Partner with its participation in the 2014 USA Games “Victory Ride” to last Friday’s Closing Ceremony at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey. The 2014 Special Olympics USA Games were hosted by New Jersey from June 14 to 21, 2014. Nearly 3,500 athletes competed in 16 sports, supported by 1,000 coaches, 10,000 volunteers and 70,000 spectators.

As Presenting Sponsor of the Victory Ride, CRN was recognized on the fleet of buses that carried the athletes and coaches to the Closing Ceremony from Rider University in Lawrence Township and The College of New Jersey in Ewing Township.

Beginning now through the conclusion of the 2014 USA Games, CRN will leverage its network of digital screens on the New York Waterway ferry system to promote the event and the message of Special Olympics.  As Presenting Sponsor of the Victory Ride, CRN will be recognized on the fleet of buses that will carry the athletes and coaches to the Closing Ceremony, as well as in all external communications regarding the culminating celebration of the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games.

Leader in Digital Information Distribution Enhances Customer Experience in Ferry Terminals

(Weehawken, NJ- March 22, 2012) –   Cross River Network (CRN) of Weehawken, New Jersey and Port Imperial Ferry Corp. dba NY Waterway, the largest private ferry company in the country, have announced the execution of a 10-year agreement under which CRN will serve as the exclusive provider of a state-of-the-art digital advertising system at certain trans-Hudson terminals.  The new system, which launched on March 5, 2012, uses digital screens to deliver a customized blend of information, entertainment, and both national and local advertising to passengers.  Expansion of the service is expected to extend to ferries and busses later this year.

The launch of the CRN network was announced by the firm’s management team at the Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas, the world’s largest international trade show dedicated to digital signage, interactive technology and out-of-home networks.  The network launched at the Weehawken, Midtown, Hoboken North, Edgewater and Belford terminals, and provides passengers with full-motion digital ads, as well as up to the minute scheduling information, local sports and weather, and late-breaking news while they commute between New Jersey and Manhattan.

Former Marketing Executive to Lead Formula One Grand Prix Into New Jersey

Tom Cotter, a former motorsports marketing entrepreneur who has worked as an automotive writer for the last decade, was named the president of the Formula One Grand Prix of America at Port Imperial on Tuesday. He will be charged with executing the contract to bring a Formula One race to New Jersey in June 2013.

Mr. Cotter, 57, will divide his time between his home in North Carolina and the headquarters of the Formula One effort, in Manhattan and at Port Imperial in Weehawken, N.J., the start-finish line of a 3.2-mile street course.

Bloomberg plans to limit alcohol sales and advertising

Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his administration have come up with another health initiative for New York City; it’s to limit the sale of alcohol in the city to curb excessive drinking, as well as slash the number of establishments serving alcohol, according to a planning document obtained by the New York Post.

One of the goals listed in the “request for proposal” document to community groups is “reducing alcohol retail outlet (e.g. bar, corner store) density and illegal alcohol,” the document states.

New York Auto Show Unveils 2012 Artwork

The New York International Auto Show is pleased to announce the launch of the 2012 poster artwork which helps set the tone for New York City’s iconic 112-year-old automobile event that runs from April 6 – 15 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.
